Its the new year, Yay! :) I have only two months left off for maternity leave - boo! That flew by. Currently I'm....

{resolving}  to, errr, well I haven't actually made any new years resolutions. This year I'd like to sort out my finances (so we can continue to afford to eat) and open the little one a bank account. I'd like to take more decent pictures of her too, here's my 2015 roundup. I'd like to be able to get through my new degree course without impacting my family time (once I go back to work this will be trickier).

{reading}  'A World History of Art' for my new OCA course. Its very interesting so far but I have so little time to complete it in, less than 2 years left to do two modules (the last one took me two years to do one)!





{organising}  the Christmas decorations back into their boxes and into the loft. I had this idea to buy a bunch of clear plastic boxes to organise the loft with but have yet to actually do this. Its a great idea because then I'd know what was in all those boxes. Do you know exactly what's in your loft? No I thought not. In the mean time I'll settle for covering some nappy boxes in xmas paper so its obvious which boxes are the decorations next year.

{loving}  spending time with my beautiful daughter (and lovely husband). It was her first Christmas and although she didn't really understand, I think she liked the lights and definitely the presents (soon got the hang on unwrapping and even helped me with some of mine). She's sick this week, nasty cold isn't the best way to start the new year thou :(



{craving}  more time off. I'm slightly regretting not taking the full 12 months maternity leave but I didn't think I could afford to not go back to work once the maternity leave pay stopped (after 9 months). I've got until end of Feb but it doesn't feel long enough now its almost here.

Currently I'm....

{wishing}  that I was more organised. Christmas is creeping up on me and I've done nothing this year. Also, these 'currently' prompt words always make me feel so disorganised and rubbish, can't cook or sew or anything else really :-/ Does anyone else feel like this? So perhaps also 'wishing' we had some less 1950s-housewife words to play with? :)

{remembering}  so many great trips! I've been doing a #100YrDiary project, where you fill out 10 pages per year (a double page spread per season plus a highlights and yearly photo spread). Its really nice to revisit the photos of so many of our interesting trips (which I've posted about them on my other blog over the years). It does also mean I'm realising how lax my photo backup organisation has gotten! I have 36 years worth to go back and fill in so some fun to come :) Also, starting one off for my daughter.

{wrapping}  my brain around google analytics, boy thats complicated!

{baking}  absolutely nothing, I cannot cook at all :( I am however percolating some blog post ideas if that counts.

{decorating}  hopefully the tree this weekend if we get around to finding it in the loft.

Currently I'm....

{designing} My hans birthday card, well I should be. I'm mostly laying about on my sofa feeling sorry for myself.

{enjoying} The peace and quiet (but not the waiting) before my baby girl arrives. Due yesterday so hopefully any day now!

{ordering} Baby stuff, its surprising how much they need and how expensive it all is considering the pittance you get for maternity pay.

{celebrating} The Royal Baby! It makes a change for the news to be nice for once. Also, more importantly, the imminent arrival of my own little princess and the fact the Royal Baby didn't commandeer the name we had in mind ;)

{tasting} All the delicious new things on Mikes menu for our lunches since I've been home :) The slow cooker is a hit for stews and the chilli con carne nachos are super yum. I probably shouldn't be eating so much, the wee one gets bigger every day and I'm running out of clothes that fit over the bump now!

{exploring} my options when it comes to making a little money on the side. Its surprisingly difficult to make money with no effort required! Although TheMoneyShed is a good place to start.

{wish listing} my upcoming birthday presents ;) Although my list only consists of a cake from my Husband so far. I look forward to his choccy cake all year :-p

{wearing} massive maternity clothes and awesome new sneakers that my husband chose for me.

{sipping} chocolate milk - what else?? I like Morrisons own brand because its tasty without being too rich (so I can drink a lot and get all the calcium goodness).

{writing} blog posts. I've been a bit slack actually I'm supposed to be writing up my study visit to Guy Bourdin's 'Image Maker' Exhibition over on my OCA blog

{dreaming} of when I can get back in the water to scuba with the fishes again. This is an old picture of me, I'm usually behind the camera ;)

{planning} my first child's birth, less than 2 months to go - eek!

{making} Some space on my NAS (clearing all the duplicate files on my network storage)

{baking} absolutely nothing. I leave all the cooking to the master chef in the house.

{watching} Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt on Netflicks. Its very very silly.
